It can be a challenge trying to celebrate the 4th of July with family and maintain social distancing. Being the first celebration of the summer, we plan to treat this celebration right. It’s the only way we know how to do it. A great 4th of July celebration idea starts with balloons that are adorned with the colors from the holiday.

The colors red, white and blue are very patriotic for your 4th of July celebration decor. We say roll with this color scheme and feel free to put your own twist on it. You just have to make a choice on your style of balloons. Choose a garland, bouquet or column as it will be a perfect addition to your décor. We encourage you to bring your 4th of July celebration ideas to life. Let’s support a local business and book a balloonist that is a local business.

Now you have your color theme and the balloons are all set. You can focus on this next item on your list of 4th of July celebration ideas. Let’s get your table setting all decked out. It’s summer time and an outdoor celebration will be the perfect backdrop for this 4th of July. That means you are digging in the garage or purchasing new items. Grab some napkins, pillow cushions, glassware, table cloths and vases. We like to place blue napkins, a red table runner, cobalt blue glasses or dishes on the table.

Yes, you should put your own spin on it, we were talking about a pop of color. Yellow is a great pop of color to add to your 4th of July celebration décor. Flowers are nice way to add pop to your 4th of July celebration. Do you agree, the most beautiful flowers bloom in the summer? We love adding red roses, white calla lilies and white hydrangeas assembled all together. Put them in a clear vase with red marbles at the bottom. Remember that pop of color we mentioned. Yellow is perfect for your floral arrangement using some tulips, daffodils or chrysanthemums.

Now we just have to get started with our own 4th of July celebration decor ideas at home. Patty is celebrating the 4th at home with the family. She is one of those blessed individuals who have a swimming pool at home. That means every day can be a super summer vacation relaxing on a float and soaking up vitamin D. They are planning to keep it low-key. This 4th of July, her husband plans to throw some meat on the grill. While he does that, Patty will mix up some margaritas and Micheladas.

Iris will be celebrating the 4th of July with her family as well. Her mom will do the cooking this year. Yes, that means she will be spoiled with good home cooking. This year the family is planning a cookout with lots of seafood on the menu. After dinner, dessert is a treat. Her aunt will cook up a sweet potato pie, pound cake and chocolate chip cookies. We know Iris gets around the kitchen, but this year her mom and aunt will be hosting.

During the holidays, we both love to sit back, laugh with family and drink a cocktail or two. This year we will be drinking a Red, White and Blue sangrias.

The colors are perfect for décor, food and even our outfits. This year Iris will not be making dinner, but is happy to share her charcuterie making tips. She’s excited about 4th of July celebration charcuterie platter she recently learned how to make with Kaiy from @stemca. A combination of colorful fruit and cheeses is the key to this fabulous platter. Iris’ cheese platter included blueberry goat cheese, brie, unexpected cheddar and blue cheese, plus lots of fruit and nuts.
